Yesterday a remarkable game took place in Italy in the LegaDue Gold championship. Napoli Basket (6-10) was defeated on the road by Forli (6-10) 71-57. The game was mostly controlled by Forli. Napoli Basket was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forli brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks.
Worth to mention a great performance of the point guard Lorenzo Saccaggi who contributed with 18 points for the winners. American guard Kyle Weaver replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Weaver has individually a great season in Italy. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.1ppg (8th best). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 58.8%.
Forli moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Napoli Basket. Forli will play against higher ranked Lighthouse TR (#8) in Trapani in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Napoli Basket will play at home against Prima Veroli.
