Great start for Interperformances' Women Division
As expected our clients in the women division proved their worth by leading their teams into a great start of season.
ITALY
Anna Vida The Hungarian forward last season helped her team to achieve the promotion to A1 and now she helped them to get their first win against Orvieto, scoring a 18 points season high with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. After 6 games, Vida is averaging 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds.
Taysha Pye (in the picture) The American combo guard and her team San Martino stands on the 3rd place in the standings with a 4-2 record! Pye is averaging 16.2 points, she's the 6th best scorer in the league. Taysha had outstanding an game, beating Umbertide, with a 22 points season high.
Emily Correal The forward from William&Mary, former San Martino player and member of the Italian national team also started with 4-2 record with CUS Cagliari. Emily is averaging 24 minutes on the court with 8.0ppg and 7.8rpg making her the 9th best player in the league. She was the key player for the win over Parma with her 13 points and 9 rebounds.
Uju Ugoka The Nigerian rookie from Virginia Tech has collected 15.7 points per game 10th best in the league for the newcomer Vigarano grabbing also 6.7 rebounds per game. In the game against the top team of the league, Reyer Venezia, she had a double double of 20 points and 12 rebounds.
HUNGARY
The Tamara Radocaj Anna Lakloth duo made a strong start for UNI Gyor with 3-0 record and clinched the very important victory over last year's finalist PEAC. Radocaj is still the only foreigner for Gyor and Lakloth unfortunately got injured on the PEAC game and got sidelined for 2 months, so she'll miss the EuroCup start on Wednesday. Radocaj is averaging 14.7 points, 6.0 assits 3rd best in the league and 4.3 rebounds per game. Lakloth is the 2nd best scorer with 19.0ppg and has 5.0 assists per game which is the 6th best in the league. The good news for the team that Lilla Horvath is back after an ankle injury and helped her team 9 points and 4 rebounds on her first game.
Zsofia Simon The Hungarian national team player of Sopron also started with 3-0 victories in the league and is waiting for the EuroCup start on Thursday. Simon is collecting 10.7 points and 3.3 assists in 21.0 minutes average ont he floor, with an amazing 42.9% 3PT.
Timea Czank and Orsi Szecsi are the cornerstone of DVTK Miskolc which started with 2 wins and a loss against PEAC, They're also waiting for the EuroCup start this week. Czank is averaging 15.0 points, 5.0rebounds and 3.0 assists with a 20 points and 9 rebouds season high against Atomeromu. Szecsi, the Hungarian rookie from Duquesne University is having 10.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game 7th in the league. Orsi had a 16 points, 8 rebounds season high on their strongest game vs. PEAC. Hungarian U18 national team point guard Betti Horvath is playing 27.0 minutes per games for DVTK, having a 7.0 points and 3.0 assists average.
Sam Mackay Former Dayton guard started her comeback after she missed a season because of a bus accident. Mackay is averaging 20.1 minutes on the floor with 5.7 points and 1.3 assists per game in ZTE NKK.
Barbara Semsei the Hungarian combo guard signed with MTK Budapest after she spent 4 seasons in Gyor. Semsei averaged 9.3 points in the first three games.
FRANCE
Rita Rasheed The Hungarian national team wing had a great season last year in Italy and a pretty good pre-season with her new team Hainaut Basket. Unfortunately she is only having 13.6 minutes per game on the first 5 rounds but scored 3.6 points.
TURKEY
Kelly Santos former Brazilian WNBA player started with 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds ont her first two games in Turkey.
SPAIN
Daria Mieloszynska-Zwolak The Polish forward is playing for Zamora in Spain. They're having a 2-4 record and Mieloszynska is averaging 10.2 points with 39.3% 3PT. She had a 16 points + 5 rebounds season high in the winning game over Campus Promete.
FINLAND
Krista Gross former NC Tar Heels small froward and Finnish national team player unfortunately got injured on her second game and has to miss the season because of a torn achilles tendon.
ROMANIA
Ashley Adams The American center from Ohio State still dominates in Romania. The 6'5 tall center is averaging 13.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 blocks per game which is the best in the league!
