Italian team Carmatic Pistoia has signed 7'0” Gregor Fucka for the 2009/10 season. Pistoia gained back its position in LegaDue two years ago after deafating Osimo in the playoffs. Last season Gregor played with Fortitudo Bologna, team with which he had played for other 5 seasons, from 1997 till 2002 and keeping his home in Bologna with his wife and three children.
The veteran power forward/center won two times the Italian and the Spanish first league championships, grabbing also the FIBA EuroCup in 2007 and the Eurolegue title in 2003.
Fucka will bring valuable experience to the team, having played for several years in the Italian National Team.
