The Halifax Hurricanes presented by Eastlink have re-signed Jordan Washington of Newark, New Jersey. The 23-year-old power forward played for the Hurricanes in the NBL Canada 2018/19 season.Washington started his college career with Indian Hill Community College and was picked up by Iona College in New Rochelle, New York after two seasons. The power forward played his junior and senior seasons with the Iona Gaels starting a total of 66 games and averaging 14.23 and 17.97 PPG respectively.In the 2018/19 season with the Canes Washington averaged 13.7 PPG and shot 51% from the field. He saw a season high of 30 PTS in a playoff game vs the Cape Breton Highlanders while shooting 60% from the field in a 110-86 victory on April 7.
