Newly promoted Haukar Hafnarfjordur (Icelandic Subway League) inked 24-year old Italian-Nigerian 204cm  forward David Okeke  for upcoming season. Okeke has played for the last two years at Keflavik IF. In 26 Subway League games in Iceland he averaged 11.0ppg and 6.7rpg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.

He represented Italy at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Crete (Greece) six years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 12.6ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.1bpg, FGP: 40.0%, 3PT: 35.3%, FT: 66.7%.

Okeke has played previously professionally in Georgia (Rustavi) and Italy (Oleggio, Torino and Borgomanero).

He won Georgian League championship title in 2021.
