American 6.7 rookie Christian Stewart joined Hogsbo Basket in Sweden. Christian is a center who graduated at Birmingham Southern College last season, averaging 16.3 ppg, 10.8 rpg and 2.0 apg in 26 games. Christian Stewart was awarded his third all-conference selection of his career. The senior was named All-SAA first team for the second season in a row. The Irondale, Ala. native recorded 15 double-doubles over the season as well. Stewart will end his career with 1,451 points, ranking sixth all-time in points scored at Birmingham-Southern. Stewart also recorded 783 rebounds over his career ranking second all-time in Panther history. Christian also recorded a Birmingham-Southern single-game record of 22 rebounds this season. Lastly, Christian was named to the All-Tournament team following the SAA Championship game.
