Igor Cassina with Interperformances in Amatrice

The Olympic Champion Igor Cassina, gold medalist in the men's horizontal bar at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, will soon be in Amatrice for a 2-day promotional event for the kids who experienced the catastrophic earthquake that devastated so many of the ancient mountain towns in central Italy.
In these events, which have been made possible by the cooperation with the Municipality of Amatrice and its Mayor Sergio Pirozzi, Cassina will meet boys and girls of every age, in a class aimed for athletes who already practice artistic gymnastics and whoever would like to get in touch with this extraordinary discipline.
Leading figure in world of gymnastics, Cassina has been the first gymnast in the world to perform a giant Kovacs straight with 1/1 turn, an high risk exercise that challenges the laws of gravity, which the International Gymnastics Federation decided to name Cassina after him.
