Constanta  tried to put together a comeback but they fell short in the 82-78 loss to ninth ranked Steaua B. in Bucuresti on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 23-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Steaua B. made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Constanta only scored five points from the stripe. Steaua B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian center  Ivan Vranes  who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). In 24 minutes on the floor Ivan collected also 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals for a final evaluation index of 25.

Steaua B. maintains ninth place with 5-6 record.
