Jan Mocnik joins Peja

KB Peja (Kosovo SuperLeague) agreed terms with 27-year old Slovenian point guard Jan Mocnik.
He was about to sign at Bosna in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. The most of last season Mocnik spent at KK Maribor Nova KBM (Telemach League) in Slovenia. In 13 games he had 12.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 4.8apg. He also played at Geoplin Slovan (Telemach League) in Slovenia earlier that season. In four games he recorded 11.3ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg. The previous (12-13) season Mocnik played at Union Olimpija Ljubljana (Telemach League) in Slovenia. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 15 Telemach League games he recorded 4.7ppg, 1.2rpg and 2.2apg in 2012-13 season. He helped them to win the cup and make to league final. Mocnik also played 5 games in Euroleague where he recorded just 1.6ppg in 2012-13 season. He also played 12 games in Adriatic League where he recorded only 1.7ppg and 1.1apg in 2012-13 season.
Mocnik was selected to Slovenian League All-Star Game back in 2008. He represented Slovenia at the European Championships U20 in Nova Gorica (Slovenia) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 9.3ppg, 1.3rpg, 5.0apg, 2FGP: 43.2%, 3FGP: 21.7%, FT: 75%. Mocnik has played also professionally in Italy (Udinese), Poland (PBG Basket) and Slovenia (Un.Olimpija, Postojna and Sezana).
