Serie A2 newcomer SS Napoli Basket added to their roster 24-year old Georgian international forward Giga Janelidze. The last season Janelidze played at Cagliari Dinamo Academy. In 19 Serie A2 games, he averaged 8.2ppg and 4.8rpg.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won the Italian Serie A2 championship title in 2018. Janelidze was also voted Italian U17 Championships 1st Team All-Star back in 2011. He was a member of the Georgian Senior National Team back in 2015.Janelidze has played previously for five other teams: Rimini Crabs, Urania Milano, Aurora Basket Jesi, Roseto Sharks, and UCC Piacenza.
