Interperformances is proud to announce the signing of Jeff Newberry with the Qatari team Al Wakra. Jeff is a talented basketball player with an impressive track record, and we believe he will make a significant impact on the court.

Jeff's basketball career began in his high school years at Westlake High School in Atlanta, GA, where he showcased his scoring, rebounding, and playmaking skills, averaging 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game during the 2010-2011 season.

After redshirting at Mississippi, Jeff transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and then to New Mexico Junior College, where he continued to excel on the court, averaging over 13 points per game in each of his JUCO seasons. He then joined the Oklahoma State University team, where he played two seasons, becoming a starter and averaging double figures in points per game in his second year.

Jeff's professional career took him overseas, where he played in various leagues, including Mongolia and Qatar. In his time with the Arhangai Altan Dornod Gold.East Warriors in Mongolia, Jeff had an outstanding season, averaging 20 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He was named Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian Superleague Player of the Year, Guard of the Year, Import of the Year, and was selected for the First Team and the All-Imports Team.

Jeff continued his impressive performances in Qatar, playing for various teams and earning recognition for his outstanding play. In the 2018-2019 season, he played for Qatar Sports Club Doha, where he was among the league leaders in scoring, rebounds, and assists, earning him a spot on the All-Qatar D1 Second Team. In the 2021-2022 season, Jeff played for Al Khor and was named Player of the Week in round 30 of the Qatari League.

Jeff's talent and experience make him an asset to any team, and we are thrilled to have him join Al Wakra.
