Jilin Tigers to add Marcus Williams to their roster
Jilin Northeast Tigers (Chinese CBA) is finalizing the deal with 29-year old American swingman Marcus Williams. He is currently playing Heilongjiang Zhaozhou Feng Shen (NBL). In 8 games so far he recorded very impressive stats: 39.1ppg, 11.9rpg, 5.0apg, 4.0spg and 1.0bpg.
The previous (13-14) season he played at Shanxi Zhongyu. In 32 games he was fourth best scorer with remarkable 28.9ppg and had 5.3rpg, 3.7apg and 2.4spg (in top 5). A very spectacular year in his career as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Forward of the Year, Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Forward of the Year and voted to 1st Team.
In 2007 Williams was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (33rd overall). The former University of Arizona staris in his ninth season in pro basketball.
