Torino Teen Basket has announced its first signing for the upcoming season, adding Portuguese center Joana Alves to their roster.  The 190 cm Portuguese player, born in 1996, brings a wealth of experience to the team. Joana spent four years playing college basketball at Seattle University before having a successful stint with Basket Club Bolzano in the 2020/21 season. In the past two seasons, she played in the top Portuguese league for Benfica, also representing the club in the last two editions of the Eurocup. Joana possesses a strong physical presence while maintaining great agility on the court. She demonstrates excellent post moves and has a reliable shooting ability from both mid-range and beyond the arc. Joana expressed her excitement about returning to Italy and joining the Torino project: "I am thrilled to be back in Italy and excited to be part of Torino's project! With the team's recent promotion to A2, I am confident that we will have a competitive and passionate squad. I hope to contribute my experience and skills to help the group achieve new goals in the upcoming season,"
