Unics Kazan (VTB) inked 27-year old Spaniard point guard Joaquim Colom. He played most recently at Bilbao Basket in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 37 games he recorded 10.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 5.7apg and 1.3spg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish Liga Endesa 3rd Team. Colom also spent pre-season at Asefa Estudiantes (Liga Endesa) in Spain.
Colom represented Spain at the European Championships U20 in Riga (Latvia) seven years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 8 games: 12.9ppg, 1.8rpg, Assists-1 (6.1apg), 1.1spg, FGP: 49.1%, 3PT: 18.9%, FT: 68.3%.Colom has played also professionally for other Spanish teams like L'Hospitalet, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, CAI Zaragoza, Lleida Basquet and El Olivar
