KTP Basket Kotka (Finnish Korisliiga) signed 25-year old Virgin Islander guard Deon Edwin. He just graduated from Kent State University (NCAA). In 35 games he had 13.2ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg last season. Edwin helped them to win MAC Tournament. A very impressive season as he was named to MAC All-Defensive Team.As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Edwin won British Virgin Island League championship title in 2012. He was also voted NJCAA All-Region IX 1st Team back in 2014 at his college time. Edwin was a member of U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team back in 2012.He has played previously for another Finnish team Young Legs.
