Lighthouse Trapani (Italian A2 Gold) inked 33-year old former Italian international forward Demian Filloy. He has a double citizenship as he also holds Argentinian passport. Filloy played most recently at Atenas in Argentinian LigaA. In 58 games he averaged 6.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg last season.
The previous (13-14) season he played at Sigma Barcellona. In 34 A2 Gold games he had 8.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg.
In 12-13 season Filloy played at Trenkwalder RE (Serie A). In 33 games he had 3.9ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.1spg.
Among other achievements he won Italian Lega Due championship title in 2012. Filloy received also Eurobasket.com Italian Lega2 All-Domestic Players Team award back in 2011. He was a member of Italian Senior National Team between 2002 and 2003.
Filloy has played previously for four other Italy teams: Rimini, Banco di Srd, Sutor Montegranaro and Porto Torres.His game is described as: A quickly improving forward, who has a great basketball IQ and team mentality. Can score from the perimeter and driving to the basket, defends well even on bigger opponents, and makes it all with great hustle. Has that typical "no surrender" attitude of lots of South American players.
