Luca Bernardi is the CIV SS600 2020 Champion
Luca Bernardi won the Italian CIV SS600 title. The San Marino rider of the Gomma Racing team added two more podiums (seven out of eight races) in the historical circuit of Vallelunga (Rome), to clinch the Campionato Italiano Velocità SuperSport 600 Championship.
â¨It was a tough year, but not for Luca that won straight away the first two races at Mugello, to secure the first 50 points of the season. Then in Misano, he proved his worth by clinching the third place and then first place in his home track. The one in Imola hasn't been an easy weekend: in Race One he had to pull out of the competition only to come back the day after, stronger than before, claiming the first position. With this weekend podiums (third place on Race One and a second place today) he added 36 more points to clinch the title with 152 points.â¨
2019 has been the first year for Luca in SuperSport 600, but he easily found his way under the spotlights winning the CIV SS600 Rookie Champion title. Luca also won the CIV Championship SuperSport 300 in 2017 as well as Yamaha R3 Cup 2017.
