In the Italian Serie A2 12th ranked Vigarano was defeated at home by ninth ranked Savona 61-53 on Sunday. Savona dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Vigarano's 22. Vigarano outrebounded Savona 45-32 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Lucrezia Zanetti  stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners
Vigarano lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Savona will meet at home league's second-placed Patti in the next round and iare hoping to get another victory. Vigarano will play against Ancona (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
