Gatkuoth has gained experience across JUCO, NCAA programs, and senior basketball, including a starting role with Pazi BBC in Tanzania and the BAL 2024 Qualifiers, where he averaged 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. In the 2024–25 season with the University of Texas at Tyler (NCAA D2), he recorded 13.3 points per game while shooting 41.1% from three-point range and 84% from the free-throw line. A consistent presence with the South Sudanese National Team, Gatkuoth has competed in multiple AfroBasket tournaments and African World Cup Qualifiers.
