Marko Simonovski joins Vienna Lions

Another great signing for Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions Vienna that added to its his roster the Macedonian guard Marko Simonovski. This young talent is only 20 years old, but is already considered the future shooting guard of the FYROM national team.
Marko started with the Vodno Suns cadet team. In 2007, he signed a contract with Vardar Osiguruvanje but was immediately loaned out to Centar Skopje in Macedonian 2nd League. Last season, Simonovski returned to Vardar and became a member of a starting lineup. Simonovski has been a member of all youth National Team categories. He participated at U20 European Championships in Nova Gorica in 2007, then at U20 European Championships Division B in Romania, where he averaged 11.3 points and 3.4 rebounds.
This summer he showed his potential in the U20 European Championships in Skopje, his home town, where he's been named Best Scorer for the Macedonian national team, having averaged 16.2 ppg, grabbing also 5.3 rebounds.
