6'9” power forward Marko Verginella has joined Lugano Tigers in the Swiss LNA league. Marko, who has both Slovenian and Italian passports, has already played with Lugano Basket in the 2002/2003 season, where he averaged 15.3 ppg, grabbing 6.3 rpg.

In the last years Marko played in the Italian Serie A and LegaDue leagues, where he worked hard, gaining experience, in teams such as Montecatini, Udine, Reggio Calabria, Fabriano and Sassari. In the 2006/2007 season he helped Rieti to win the regular season LegaDue cup, leading the team to the top league.
