McDermott leads Barons to the Latvian finals
Barons advanced to the Finals sweeping the Semifinal series over Valmiera (105-74) in game 3.
Fundamental for BK Barons Riga was the performance of 6'8 power forward Geoff McDermott who played a key role by scoring 22 points. The American/Jamaican PF finished the game dropping 4-of-4 field goals, 3-of-4 three pointers and 5-of-6 free throws. Geoff also added six rebounds and two assists. This is McDermott's first season overseas, having played college basketball until last year. Geoff went to the prestigious Providence College, where he averaged 8.2 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 3 apg.
