McDermott's double-double lands him Player of the Week award
23-year old forward Geoff McDermott put on an amazing game in the last round for Magixx KidsRights Nijmegen and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22. He had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Giants (#8, 7-15) 84-75. Magixx maintains the 4th position in Dutch league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Magixx will need more victories to improve their 13-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for McDermott as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Providence College graduate has very impressive stats this year. McDermott is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.3spg.
