Mohammed Abukar Player of the Year in Switzerland

It is the 6'10” power forward of Lugano Tigers Mohammed Abukar the All-Swiss LNA Awards 2010-11 player of the year. The former D-League player is on his third year with Lugano, team with which last year he won the Swiss LNA league.
Abukar also got an award as Eurobasket.com All-Swiss LNA Forward of the Year and Import Player of the Year. This season he averaged 28.9 points per game, grabbing 5.3 rebounds and dishing out 2.2 assists, leading so Lugano to playoffs. The team already defeated Monthey 3-0 in the Semifinals and is waiting for the Final Game 1 next Saturday.
Also another Lugano player got an Award, the 6'2” guard Dusan Mladjan who has been named in the All-Domestic Players First Team, having both Serbian and Swiss passports.
