Monty Mack signs in Romania

6.3” guard Monty Mack has signed a deal with the new team Steaua Turabo/BC Targoviste Bucuresti in the Romanian division A league. This team was born in 2009 when BC Targoviste merged with Steaua Turabo. Monty played college basketball with the University of Massachusetts, where he finished the NCAA career as the only player in Atlantic 10 Conference history to record career totals of 2,000 points, 300 three-pointers, 250 assists and 150 steals while playing 4,000 minutes. He played overseas for several years in Italy, Turkey and Belgium. In 2007 Monty moved to CEZ Basketball Nymburk in the Czech NBL league where he helped the team to win the National Cup for two consecutive years. Last season he joined Mutlu Aku Selcuk Universitesi Konya in the Turkish TBL, where he averaged 14.9ppg, grabbing 2.2 rebounds.
