Serbia has always been known for giving quality playing time to young players and getting back good results. Crvena Zvezda Beograd (also known as Red Star) is a good example of this philosophy. 6'10” power forward/center Nemanja Bjelica and 6'10 center Vladimidr Stimac (both 21 years old) played key roles for Red Star in tying the final series 2-2 with perennial powerhouse Partizan 75-73. Nemanja Bjelica shared high scoring honors with 13 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes and Vladimir Stimac(photo) had 13 points shooting 3-3 from the “2” and 2-3 from the “3” in 26 minutes. The final decisive fifth game will be played on Saturday night at Partizan.
