Nemanja Bjelica and Vladimir Stimac lead Red Star in the Serbian Finals
Serbia has always been known for giving quality playing time to young players and getting back good results. Crvena Zvezda Beograd (also known as Red Star) is a good example of this philosophy. 6'10 power forward/center Nemanja Bjelica and 6'10 center Vladimidr Stimac (both 21 years old) played key roles for Red Star in tying the final series 2-2 with perennial powerhouse Partizan 75-73. Nemanja Bjelica shared high scoring honors with 13 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes and Vladimir Stimac(photo) had 13 points shooting 3-3 from the 2 and 2-3 from the 3 in 26 minutes. The final decisive fifth game will be played on Saturday night at Partizan.
