The German Bundesliga club Giessen 46ers decided to reinforce their roster by adding the 6'0” point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze. The 24 years old Georgian, last season played for Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels, averaging 6.1points, 1.5rebounds and 3.8 assists, leading the Wolves to a great season in German BBL. Giorgi finished 6th in the assists ranking of the BBL and was named Point Guard of the Georgian Men's National Team and All-Georgian League Player of the Year 2009. He has a lot of international experience, having played in almost all Georgian National Teams and participated in different international tournaments.
