Nika Metreveli joins Nuovo Napoli
Nuovo Napoli Basket (Lega2) agreed terms with 21-year old Georgian international power forward Nika Metreveli. Nika is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport, meaning that he can play as a domestic player in Italy. Metreveli played last season at Banco di Sardegna Sassari (SerieA). In 29 SerieA games last year he had 3.6ppg and 1.8rpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Metreveli has been also a member of Georgian international program for some years. He has played for Senior National Team since 2009 and previously for U20 National Team in 2009. Metreveli represented Georgia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 this year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 2.5ppg, 2.5rpg. Metreveli has played previously professionally in Georgia (SSU Sukhumi)Italy (Rimini, Montepaschi Siena and FCM Ferentino.
