Obras Sanitarias signs Theron Smith

The Argentinean Club, Obras Sanitarias strengthened their roster with the signing of Power Forward Theron Smith. Theron after his college years at Ball state went undrafted in 2003 but , he still signed a two-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in 20 regular season matches during his rookie campaign (two points and rebounds per game). Smith then played for the Charlotte Bobcats after being selected in the expansion draft, and averaged 2.8 points per game throughout his NBA career, where he totalled 53 games. In the 2005-2006 he played with the NBDL's Florida Flame, and the following season signed his first European deal with Pallacanestro Cant¨² (Italy serie A). During the following two seasons, he continued overseas with Entente Orleans (France Pro A) and TianJin Rongcheng (China-CBA)averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4.8 assist in 46 matches. In 2009-2010 returned to Italy and played in LegaDue with Latina. Theron spent the last season in Romania. The forward played for Steaua Turabo. His stats read 11.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
