Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys  against seventh ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan on Wednesday night. Visiting Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Lobos UAD Mazatlan in Mazatlan 103-85. Lobos UAD Mazatlan dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Tijuana Zonkeys' 38. Lobos UAD Mazatlan forced 22 Tijuana Zonkeys turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American import forward Omar Thomas  chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. 

Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Los Mochis and Guasave. Tijuana Zonkeys at the other side keep the third position with 14 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will play against league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Frayles de Guasave and it may be a tough game between close rivals
