In the beginning of March, the 6.5” Guard / Small Forward Othyus Jeffers signed two 10-day contracts with the Utah Jazz. After six games played with the Salt Lake City team Othyus impressed the Utah Jazz that decided to keep the player, extending the contract till the end of the 2009/10 season.  Othyus started the season in the Italian first league, with NGC Cantù, then moved to the NBA development league where he played with Iowa Energy. In the NBDL, Jeffers scored 15 ppg, grabbing 7 rpg and averaging 2 assists.
