Palma inks Boris Barac
Iberostar Palma de Mallorca (Spanish LEB Gold) signed 27-year old Croatian international forward Boris Barac. He is a dual citizen owning also Bosnia and Herzegovina passport. Barac started the season at FC Porto in Portuguese LPB league. He managed to play in three leagues this year. In 18 LPB games he had 10.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.7apg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. Barac also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 9.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg. And finally he contributed to 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 7.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg. The last season Barac played at CEZ Nymburk (NBL) in Czech Republic league. In 39 games he got 9.3ppg and 3.5rpg. He also played 11 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 4.6ppg and 2.0rpg.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Barac won Czech Republic League championship title in 2018. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2017.Barac was also a member of Croatian international program for some years. He played for Croatian Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011.Barac represented Croatia at the European Championships U20 in Bilbao (Spain) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 10.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.4apg, FGP: 38.5%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 57.1%.Barac has played previously professionally in Croatia (Cibona and KK Zadar) and Bosnia (Siroki Primorka, Grude and Siroki II Eronet).He could be described: A very good outside shooter, has good hands and passing skills, needs to improve athleticism and defensive skills.
