Pavel Marinov signs at Pitesti
BCM U Pitesti (Romanian Liga Nationala) landed 28-year old Bulgarian international small forward Pavel Marinov.
He played most recently at CS Dinamo Bucuresti (Liga Nationala). In 36 games he averaged 12.3ppg, 4.3rpg and 3.5apg last season.The previous (14-15) season Marinov played at Balkan (NBL) in Bulgarian league. In 37 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 16.7ppg and recorded 4.8rpg, 3.4apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Domestic Player of the Year, selected to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game.Among other achievements Marinov won Bulgarian League championship title for two years in a row (2012 and 2013). He received also Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Most Improved Player of the Year award in 2009 and 2014.Marinov was also a member of Bulgarian international program for some years. He played for Bulgarian Senior National Team between 2010 and 2014 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2008.Marinov also represented Bulgaria at the Qualifications to European Championships 2015 two years ago.
