Second ranked Nitra blasted Nova Ves in Nitra 115-82 on Wednesday evening Nitra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 34. They outrebounded Nova Ves 49-15 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the international forward Pavol Losonsky who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds.
Nitra keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Loser Nova Ves still closes the standings with ten games lost. Nitra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nova Ves will play against Handlova.
