Pepsi Caserta brings in Diego Ciorciari
Pepsi Caserta announced signing of a two-year deal with Diego Ciorciari. The Argentinean/Italian point guard heads to his new team from Spanish Menorca. He played 34 games for them last season averaging 6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 steals. Unfortunately, they were not able to survive in ACB. Ciorciari played for Menorca in 2009/10 season as well and he helped the team to win the LEB Gold championship. They also won promotion to ACB at the same time. Ciorciari was named Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Guard of the Year -09.
Before Menorca, Diego Ciorciari spent two years with Melilla. He also has experience from Calpe Aguas, CAI Zaragoza, Rimini, Avelino, Arkadia and Oeste. Pepsi Caserta finished last season as No.11 in SerieA. They had 12-18 record.
