International forward Janis Porzingis had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Liepaja and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Valmiera (#1, 10-6) 83-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Liepaja is placed at 2nd position in Latvian LBL. Liepaja will need more victories to improve their 9-7 record.
In the team's last game Porzingis had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Liepaja and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.
