After the signing of the American PF/C Rick Hughes; Apoel Nicosia decided to reinforce their roster with the 6.0 Point Guard Rashid Atkins. This Club is currently in the top 16 of the EuroChallenge Cup and is second in the standings of the Cypriot League. Rashid's incredible offensive talent and experience will for sure be essential ingredients for Nicosia that is already doing very well this season. Last season Rashid started the season in Belgium with Base Oostende, where he averaged in the Eurocup Qualifications: 19.8ppg, 1.5rpg, 6.5apg, 3.0spg; EuroChallenge:11.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.5apg. In December moved to Galatasaray where he averaged in the Turkish TBL: 10.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.5apg, Steals-3(2.1spg). While in the EuroChallenge averaged: 9 games: 10.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.8apg, 1.9spg.
