Tulsa and Fort Wayne squared off in the 3rd game of the 4th day of the 2014 NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nevada. The teams battled throughout the 1st quarter with the score remaining tight. The quarter ended with Tulsa leading 27-26. Xavier Alexander (6'6''-G-88, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: S.Nazarene) stood out for Tulsa with 10 points on 4/4.
The game remained tight in the 2nd with the teams trading baskets. It was tied at 38 with 5:12 to play in the half. Fort Wayne then went on an 11-2 run and the score was 49-40 in favor of Fort Wayne with 1:56 to go in the half.
The 3rd was back and forth as Tulsa gradually closed the gap. The quarter ended with Fort Wayne's 10 point half time lead cut to only 2 points at 74-72.Reggie Williams had 10 points in the quarter for Tulsa. To lead the charge while shooting 4/4 in the quarter including 1/1 from behind the arc.
In the 4th quarter we again saw a back and forth battle. Tulsa had Fort Wayne's lead cut to 4 points with 23.3 seconds to go at 101-97 but were required to foul to stop the clock. After a few free throws Fort Wayne walked away with a 105-97 victory.
Reggie Williams of Tulsa was the game high scorer with 26 points on 11/21 shooting.
