The Centrobasket Women's Championship 2021 took place from March 24 to 28 in the Gimnasio Josà© Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador. The championship features Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
And it was U.S. Virgin Islands that finished the tournament in second place, also thanks to the performance of our players Taylor Jones and Akeema Richard. Taylor Jones averaged 13.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 1.8 apg, with a high of 25 points against Costa Rica.
Akeema Richards delivered 8 points per game, 4.5 rpg and 1.5 apg. 
Thanks to their performances U.S. Virgin Islands officially qualified for AmeriCup 2021 in June.
