6'11” Roman Gonzalez played a key role for Penarol Mar Del Plata in tying the score (1-1) in the final series of the Argentina Liga A. The Argentinian/Italian center had a double-double in the 75-85 win over the regular season champions Atenas Cordoba . He scored 23 points with 6 for 10 from the field, a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line and 13 rebounds.  Roman was MVP of the 2009 Argentinian All-Star Game.
