EGIS Kormend decided to make some changes on the roster and needed a new big man, They've found Ryan Richards who arrived yesteray to Kormend. The 212 cm tall, very athletic Richards is only 24 years old and has already a lot of experiences as professional player. He spent several years as a junior player in Spain with Gran Canaria and Real Madrid before moving to Belgium, where he played for Dexia Mons-Hainaut. In 2009 he moved back to Spain and signed with Gran Canaria, but was loaned to BBC Monthey in Switzerland. In the same year he got drafted by the San Antonio Spurs (2nd round, 49th pick), but did not play for the Spurs. In 2011 he moved back to Switzerland and played for Lugano Tigers (15 games: 11.2ppg, 6.7rpg, FGP: 54.1%, 3PT: 24.1%, FT: 73.0%), but finished the season with Sokhumi Tbilisi in Georgia (5 games: 12.2ppg, 5.8rpg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 46.7%, FT: 55.6%). The next season he started with Euroleague team Asseco Prokom Gdynia, but left in January and moved to BC Zepter Vienna, which team could celebrate the Winning of the Austrian Championship.
