SEB BBL 2007/08 Season MVP Announced
Forth season of the SEB BBL is close to its end and the league has an honor to announce the MVP of the 2007/08 SEB BBL season in Elite Division. This time officials of the league voted for the MVP of the season and the winner of this season's MVP title in Elite Division is Vladimir Stimac center from team Valmiera.
Stimac had a great performance during the whole season. Player of Valmiera scored 17.1 points per game on average. This was the second best performance in the league during the season. Moreover, he grabbed 10.9 rebounds per game and by this parameter he was the first in the Elite Division. By efficiency criteria, Stimac lead the Elite Division as well (24.3 effectiveness points per game). All the other candidates were far behind the Stimac as Siauliai player Antonio Grant, who were the second, collected only 17.5 effectiveness points.
Additionally, Stimac managed to collect 12 double-doubles in 20 games which is the highest ranking in the Elite Division in the whole season. Serbian also set the season records in rebound collecting in the Elite Division as he picked up 19 rebounds in a win against Ventspils and 19 rebounds in a loss against Kalev/Cramo. Additionally, Stimac had the record in highest efficiency rating (42 efficiency points against Neptunas) in one game. What is more, Stimac has a record in the blocked shots parameter. He is the only one who has blocked 6 shots during one game in this season.
