Serbia opened the game with 22:19, but Russia dominated the second frame. The guests needed an 18-10 surge to take 5 points lead at the halftime. Moreover Russia added 24-17 rally in the third period and enjoyed 12-point deficit with 10 minutes to go. Serbia however managed to erupt with a 26-10 surge and grabbed the win.
Djordje Drenovac top-scored for the winners with 19 points.
