6'10” power forward/center Nemanja Bjelica(photo left) and 6'10” center Vladimir Stimac (photo right) played important roles in helping Serbia win the 2009 World University Games through out the tournament. Serbia beat Russia in the Finals 73-51 in front of 20,000 fans at the Belgrade's Arena. Bjelica and Stimac were both the leading scorers and rebounders in the Semi-Final game against Israel. Both the young promising stars play for Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian and Adriatic Leagues.
