The Shanxi Zhongyu Basketball club has signed the one of the top players in China for the past couple of seasons, Marcus Williams. Williams, nearly avg a triple double last season while leading Zheijiang Chouzhou to a 5th place finish and into the playoffs. Williams who seemed destined to be resigned to his club for a 3rd straight year was woo'd by Shanxi, and also wanted to play with the CBA leading scorer, Charles Gaines who signed earlier in the month. Both players will make a devastating combination for Shanxi, as they look to improve upon last seasons 9th place finish. A playoff run could be in the future of Shanxi, as they upgraded at the point guard position as well.
