Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Cypriot OPAP Basket League) signed 26-year old American forward Shaquille Goodwin (206cm-110kg-94, college: Memphis) for upcoming 2021-22 season. It is actually his comeback to Larnaca as he has played here before. Goodwin played last season at MBC Mykolaiv in Ukrainian Superleague. In 7 games he had 7.1ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1bpg. He also played for Larissa BC in Greek A1 where in 6 games he recorded 8.5ppg and 6.3rpg. Goodwin also spent pre-season at Rilski (NBL) in Bulgarian league.He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.Goodwin is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Science City Jena), Italy (Scafati), Turkey (Yalova and Konyaspor) and Greece (Rethymno).The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Cyprus Supercup in 2017. Goodwin was voted to All-AAC 1st Team back in 2016 at his college time.He attended University of Memphis until 2016 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
