Centauros de Bolivar (Venezuela-SPB) added American shooting guard Shavar Newkirk to the roster for the upcoming season. The 180cm guard, a Saint Joseph's University graduate, enters his ninth professional season after experiences across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Newkirk previously played in Estonia with TSA Kalev and spent last summer in Colombia with Cimarrones del Choco, while his standout 2022 campaign in Indonesia earned him IBL Player of the Year and All-Star Game MVP honors. Known for his scoring ability and versatility, he brings international experience to the Venezuelan league.
