Shooting night for Rozic, Joksimovic, Halilovic and Siriscevic
The most important game in the last round of the Croatian A1 took place in Zagreb between
third ranked GKK Sibenik (9-3) and sixth ranked Cibona (7-3) on Friday night.
GKK Sibenik was defeated by Cibona on the road 83-94. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first
quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Cibona shot the
lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage.
It was a good game for the international forward Marin Rozic who led his team to a victory with 22 points
and 4 assists. Slovenian Nebojsa Joksimovic contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds
and 4 assists for the winners..
Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic replied with 30 points and 4 assists
and international swingman Ivan Siriscevic added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4
assists in the effort for GKK Sibenik. Cibona moved-up to fifth place. GKK
Sibenik at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost.
Cibona are looking forward to face higher ranked KK Split (#4) on the road in
the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GKK Sibenik will play
against the league's second-placed Cedevita and it may be a tough game between
close rivals.
