KTP Basket Kotka (Finnish Korisliiga) inked 31-year old American center Kenneth Simms. It is actually his comeback to KTP Basket as he has played here before. Simms played most recently at Kaposvari in Hungarian A Division. In 36 games he averaged 11.3ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.2apg last season. Simms also played that season for Gunma Crane Thunders (B League) in Japan where in 5 games he had 7.0ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.0apg.Among other achievements Simms' team won Finnish League Regular Season in 2015. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga Honorable Mention award in 2015.Simms is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Simms has played previously professionally in Belgium, China (Ningxia Hanas), France, Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Italy (Mantova), Lithuania, Romania (Craiova), Sweden (Sodertalje Kings), Uruguay (Atletico Welcome), Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo and Indios de San Francisco) and Japan (Kanazawa Samuraiz).He attended Cumberland University until 2009 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
