It was a very important matche the one between Pitesti and eighth ranked CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu on Saturday night. Visiting Pitesti was defeated by CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu in a tough game in Rovinari 80-87. It looked good early as Pitesti took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu had a 30-17 second period charge getting the lead and Pitesti was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-87.
It was a great evening for the Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic who collected 18 points and 6 rebounds for the home team. On the other side side another Montenegrin, Stevan Milosevic (in the picture), produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds.
CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with BC Timisoara and U-Banca TR. Pitesti at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Oradea. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu will play against BC Timisoara (#7) on the road in the next round. Pitesti will play against Targu Mures (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
